Tenaya is a first year student in a French Business school - l'Ecole de Management de Lyon. She completed a six-month internship (spanning July through December 2007) in New York as executive assistant to Jill Alcott. This internship was a continuation of her experience to date and of exemplifies what she would like to accomplish in the future: marketing, communications, and event production to name a few. During her 6 month internship, she assisted Jill in many tasks - from following up with different projects and clients on a day to day basis, to taking minutes, doing research, helping at the front office, and participating actively in many events and projects with API's clients. She has also learned how the non-profit world works, especially the meaning and importance of fundraising.
